Apologies for my previous post, reading back it did sound disrespectful, what I was trying to say is one time Scottish clubs would have had no problem in getting through these European preliminary rounds, it just seems that the SPL aint as strong as it used to be. still as passionate, still give everything, still as commited, just not a powerhouse if you know what i mean.

Scottish football is pish, we know it.

But the problem lies at the the youth level all the way through school and the fact is our society is crap. Vast majority of our kids would rather be out drinking, snorting and shagging.

Unless we can change that then our game will continue to produce shite.

On a side note, well done Hearts. Plastic Prodies but Id like to see them get to the group stage and beyond if they can.

A good friend of mine moved to Scotland last year, his lad is at the Dundee Utd academy.. He says the emphasis on pass and move is systemic throughout the youth game, no more old fashioned long ball boot.. the kids are constantly told of pass and move, the Barcelona way..

Give it ten years and I'm sure the new youth coaching techniques will have flooded your first teams..

Baldy it doesnt help when we are just starting our season then come up against a team halfway through their season.
