After putting rankers out and then the arabs, if you beat us as well you would deserve the trophy bells and everything else on!

      FALKIRK 4 - 3 Livingston

Falkirks top scorer struck in the 12th minute with a neat flick over keeper Andrew McNeil to put us ahead. Six minutes later, our October Player of the Month made it 2-0 with a low shot. Six minutes before half time, it was 3-0 with a Livi player deflecting past his own keeper with Falkirk looking to be well in command.

Credit to Livingston for a great fight-back in the second half and they stunned Falkirk with two goals, the 2nd one an absolute beauty. When they fired in a brilliant free kick from 30 yards out to make it 3-3, I feared the worst.

Our other striker scored with five minutes left to put us 4-3 ahead again, but the last few minutes were not for those of a nervous disposition. An amazing game.

It was pulsating, nerve-shredding action at both ends and - it has to be said great entertainment. A neutral would have loved it. Three hard-earned points to say the least. Phew!

Still In 2nd place by 3pts but, we play the League leaders, Ross County, this Saturday. 9am bus/ship ahoy

        Scottish Cup 4th Round

        Falkirk 2-0 East Fife

On a cold windy day (is there any other up here ), Falkirk were well worth their two-goal victory. Captain, Darren Dods, opened the scoring in the 5th minute with a low shot to the bottom left-hand corner and top scorer Farid El Alagui gave the Bairns the 2nd goal to take the pressure off a bit with a brilliant header in the 21st minute.

East Fife looked to be up against it but, they recovered well in the 2nd half and limited further damage. Falkirk coasted through the second half though, only showing in flashes what they were capable of.

Through to the Fifth Round but harder tests will lie ahead for sure.

          Cup Semi-final tomorrow

No pressure on my team as we're not expected to win and all the pressure is on Celtic

Seeing as it's live on the BBC, I just hope that our players can justify why they're in a semi-final and give a good account of themselves

I'll be going more in hope than anything else so it's just going to be a big day out and if we're lucky to win it, one hell of a party night too

            ****in' 'ell

Not content with a cup game against Rangers on the 21st of this month, the draw today in the League Cup is another game at Ibrox on the 28th!. Suppose after the last game (when Falkirk won), it's revenge time

It's the only time I want Rangers to get beat though.

Cheers. We'll be bringing through a good support as usual

I would say promotion is between Falkirk, Livingston, Hamilton and I would include Partick in there as well. Good luck for Saturday

                          Partick Thistle 3-1 Falkirk

Well that was a great start to the season, not!

2-0 down after 9mins, ffs Falkirk Captain was injured from the game before and it showed with the organisation in defence.

Should have been 2-1 after about 15mins but, Partick 'keeper made a brilliant 1 handed save.

2nd half and Falkirk got the goal they needed after only 6mins in as a great through ball set up our lone striker to fire it home.

Unfortunately it wasn't long before the home side got their third from a corner as the Falkirk defence again hesitated long enough to gift another goal

Falkirk came back into it again but, a goal line clearance and not long after, a point blank save by the Partick 'keeper made sure it just wasn't going to be our day.

Overall, Partick deserved the 3pts with the way they started the game.

Ahh think yer rivals Dunfermline will be included on that.......but need to say I don't think we have the right squad, good result for us on Saturday but looooong way to go, aww the best for the season ahead Falkirk and Partick but com on the pars
great to see some lower league team threads rather than the usual Celtic/Rangers even though the Gers are in the 3rd div. Going to be good for Scottish football is all i can say because every Scottish club is going to benefit from their crowds financially and will boost teams spending power for the following season. Creating better leagues
