Fifa have no objection to players wearing the Poppy on their training jackets their objection to wearing it on the field of play is a just one, as it could and probably would open a can of worms regarding symbols.
The fact the Poppy has now become a fashion icon to some and is being used (Xfactor comes to mind) to garner support to that which is not related to the sentiment of the Poppy imo demeans the symbolism of it.

I don't think England national team has ever been able to have a poppy on there shirts so i don't think FIFA should alter there stand, I do beleave that the palyers will be wearing black armbands with a poppy on them, Which is fine, Before you all shoot me down, I was in the army for 5 years and i am all for wearing a poppy but the FIFA changing the stands could open a massive can of worms for other sitiuation!! If you can see where i am coming from!!

Why do they allow players to wear black arm bands then if they have a problem, why don't they ban players from doing the cross sign when they come on the pitch or when they celebrate. Why don't they stop players from praying on the pitch. Why don't they ban the national anthems. These are religious and political things......

Ya but all the above have always been aloud, We have never been aloud as a national team to play an international game with an embroidered poppy on our shirts, They will never change there minds and the england team are now getting round it other ways ie trainning shirts and armbands with poppies on, so they are still showing there respect for the fallen.

They are not playing that game to remember the dead they are playing a friendly that coincides with remembrance weekend and as a mark of respect for the fallen wish to wear the poppy.
