WALES football team has moved up two places in the latest FIFA world rankings making them the biggest climbers in world football this year.


The rankings for December, released today, see Wales in 48th place, up from 50th in November and 113th at the start of the year.


They amassed 330 ranking points in 2011 more than anyone else following a marked upturn in results after losing the opening four matches of the Euro 2012 qualifying group.
