thx for your reply mr sgerrard,
the above quote was used by a man far more eloquent with the written word than i could ever hope to be and my intention was not to appear smart or superior to you in any way.
it is probably the most salient quote that best negates your original post and stance.
there is now and never has been consistency in any governing body, fact,if you had used say the drogma ban for a reckless challenge earlier this season as your basis it would have carried more credence.
the fact you named saurez, spearing, bellamy and masch the bash for your post shows a clear bias on your part towards liverpool.
not everybody hates liverpool and sometimes these things happen.Comment

here is the point
and here is where most of you are.....
ok lets look at the 2nd part, we have been charged with surrounding the referee, yet my photos show that other teams have done it, and nothing has happened to them.
and the fact it happens in just about every game up and down the country, every saturday.....
so why have we been charged with it?
discuss....Comment

so beckham dealt with it and didnt get charged, thats fine with me.
cole didnt get charged for the two fingers at united fans, again fine with me
rooney didnt get charged with the two fingers at chelsea fans, fine with me.....
suarez gives the finger to the fulham fans, and gets charged
also the liverpool team got charged with surrounding the ref debating a dubious sending off, but united surrounded the ref when the penalty was given against them, last week
and nothing......
hmmmmmm
get it yet?

and the whole thread is about the charges by the FA against liverpool, so its what i wanted to discuss.....
and i gave photographic evidence showing how other teams and players have been treated WAY differently for the same offences
i think most can agree that this is a bloody jokeComment

Surrounding a match official or Technical area is a breach of the Respect campaign fullstop. Yet the FA still pick and choose who it applies to and who it doesn't.
If Liverpool are in breach whether or not the red card was deserved or not then yes they should be punished for not controlling they're players. But i also expect other clubs who are also in breach to get the same punishment, which hasn't happend like that of the Man Utd players in the game against Newcastle which sgerrard has already mentioned.

I guess it all comes down to what the ref puts in his report...some don't mention players surrounding him and some do report it, obviously Mr Friend (not of friend of mine though) did report us.
Its horses for courses, sometimes we will get the rub of the green and sometimes we won't, lately it seems its the latter but thats only because we are not winning matches we should be.
As for the original topic....F.A are a real shower of sh1t, as said before in another thread, Rooney got done last year for swearing, he got a 2 match ban...but then he blatently kicked a player and got 3 match Eng ban...F.A decide to appeal it and get it reduced to the same as swearing......something wrong there, thats the pot calling the kettle black.
This is not be about LFC or any other team...it's about double standards, even though Eng have a better win ratio without Rooney in the team...the F.A plowed ahead and showed their double standards.
btw...I am glad he got it reduced....he is a talented player who can change a game in an instant and Eng need that.sigpicComment

You could be right about the refs report but the FA can over rule a ref. In the past when a referee has missed a particular bad tackle, off the ball incident etc and hasn't logged it in his match report then the FA act upon it and fine or ban the offending parties. So if the match officials don't report the matter that shouldn't mean the FA are powerless because they aint. They can see the videos for themselves.

I agree zee IF the ref misses it, but if he reports it they must look into it, theres nothing to say we will be found guilty, they just have to look into it because it was reported. If he didn't report it, then they have the power to review it themselves...win win situation for them. You could be right about the refs report but the FA can over rule a ref. I'm surprised Suarez picked up English so fast. If you think all this is being disrespectful you should watch the sports leagues in the USA. All the players do is show boat and trash talk. Baseball isn't a sport anymore. It's all about money. That is why i don't watch sports in America. Players need to show restraint no matter what the the fans say to them. They are suppose to be professionals. I wish the FA would go thru the tape of games and fine players who dive that didn't get caught during the game. Rooney and players like him are star players and promote the league so no matter what they are going to bend over backwards for them.Comment

oh i get it now.how ~~~~in stupid am i
it was about the mistreatment of liverpool players and the unfair treatment they seem to receive lately.again, why us,playground mentality at best.
it had nothing to do with the f.a,your rant was solely about your teams treatment.i do not understand why you did not just post it in the dedicated liverpool thread,at least there you would have received the support of like minded folk and the rest of us would have been spared.
ah well.gotta go and lick some windows,

I think the rooney 3 match ban should stand and the FA are showing double standards, But FFS when things aren't going your way its all a conspiracy, Get a grip Its was a ~~~~ing red card the other nite and you should be charged with surrounding the Ref, Same as every other team including United, Your not just bias your also blinded. But thanks for the thread sgerrard,
