Why doesn't Rafa stop crying and start managing , we've
been held twice now , by a team worth ?1.5 million less than Torres alone and he complains about the opposing teams tactics
, sounds more like a poor loser , than a good manager !
Results speak louder than words !!!

He said maybe i tried to change too many things too quickly.

He also made some of the worse signings ever. Paul Stewart, Torben Piechnik, Istvan Kozma, Michael Thomas and Julian Dicks to name a few. However the biggest mistake he made was selling his story about his heart problems to the sun.

Dalglish left a team who were top of the league, with just over 2 months of the seson remaining. He resigned saying he couldn't cope any longer with the pressures of managing. Bear in mind Dalglish Attended lots of funerals after Hillsborough.

I remember watching Dalglish From the time of Hillsborough to his resignation and saying how he had aged, practically overnight. He looked haggard and drawn and always wore that big adidas coat no matter how hot it was.
In his autobiography he tells how all the pressure got to him and tells of the stress of attending numerous funerals and how it affected him. He said this was the reason for his resignation and i believe him.If he was going to resign for footballing reasons i think he would have waited till the end of the season.

The football played under Kenny's boys of 88 were amongst the best i've ever seen in my life. Barnes,Beardsley.Aldridge,Mcmahon and Rush. We used to take teams apart. When we played forest in the league in 88 we hammered them 5-0 prompting the great Tom Finney to say thats the best football i have ever seen played in all my life.
I've still got the highlights on an old vhs tape
i may be wrong m8 but its always stuck in my mind so i thought id ask the question and get your views but to be fair he aint ever gonna admit it is he?

man uniteds demise in the 70's was largely due to the man who made man united what it is matt busby a team that grew old and tired together which should have had new blood and dismantled after 68

for me i just think liverpool were going the same way so he quit while he was at the top before the going got tough

I've no reason to doubt him m8. As i said he aged overnight, and always looked worried and unhappy.I think it would have made more sense for him to have gone at the end of the season . Money wasn't a big problem so there was no reason not to buy in the close season if he wanted to stay.
We had young players breaking into the team such as Redknapp, Fowler, and Hutchinson. I honestly think if he felt he could have carried on, he would have made the right signings.

          THE TRUTH
          The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

Bemusing tactics yet again from Rafa , go a goal up , then sit back on it , why didn't he replace Torres wiyh Keane ?????
He says after the last Derby ," one team came to win and the other not to lose " , then he goes and does the same thing himself tonight .
                  Mans losing the plot!!!

this past month has shown that his tactics are poor.. he's stubborn and negative.. the best chance in 19 years has been spunked off by a lackluster approach and negativity has been at the fore.

We are 2D and when you crack how we play its easy to break us down and make us non-effective.. we should be 12 points clear not 3rd..

Just like Houiller before him when plan A isnt working we're ~~~~ed.. there is no plan B..

Pumping 40 yard balls into the box for the last 10 minutes is not the Liverpool way.. neither is substituting your best 2 players, bringing your strike force off with 20 minutes left and playing a daft arse about face formation with players well out of position for the last 10 mins..

If he doesn't turn it around quick he'll be off, as this year we had a cast iron opportunity to have the league sewn up by February and he bottled it by being too cautious..

if we play half as bad on sunday we'll get raped..

sometimes the joy of watching all our games live via european satellite is a torture

I don't like team or manager slagging , but agree with Opsmonkey + lfcforlife , he's got to swallow this pride
, swallow his arrogance and DO HIS JOB ! .
The longer he carries on like this , the less chance we've got of
                      a trophy .
He's an exceptional manager for the wrong reasons , he's the only one in 40yrs as a supporter who's embarassed me !
My blue mate's say he sounds like Manuel from fawlty towers ' having watched his interview tonight , i couldn't argue .
                      CRAZY ! CRAZY GAME ! ????

rafa,s negativity and stubborn attitude is going to cost us big time ,not just in the league but in other competitions to,i do not want our team to lose their manager because i think that that would set us back another 5 years .
its time all the behind the scenes bickering was sorted out and the focus on our club was for achieving success on the field of play instead of petty wranglings.
its time for rafa to stop tinkering with the team and only make changes when needed ,becase as we all know as the most sucessfull club side in england

Look, it's the same old same old here. We're playing Chelsea an sunday so he plays a team against Wigan with Chelsea in mind. He does this everytime. Watch what i mean. We play Man City the game before Madrid. Watch his team selection it wont be a side to play City it will be a team to play Madrid.

I'm sick and tired of his football being based around a clipboard ~~~~~~. They are pro footballers, they don't need to be told what part of the pitch to set foot on and what part not to.Let them go out and attack and play football not ~~~~ing chess.

Lucas??? WTF can you say about him ? He's ~~~~in crap. He brings nothing to the game. Can't tackle can't head can't ~~~~in pass. he's a shithouse AAAAARGGHHHHH i hate him. Yet he stays on the field while Gerrard sits on the bench. As someone summed him up. Brazilian ? He's no more a Brazilian than the hairiest pussy you'll ever see.

i've said before, that we are not good enough to win the league so i'm not surprised we're starting to slip up now. It's the manner in which we're playing that pisses me off. Boring , negative spineless football. I said earlier in this thread that i wasn't sure what the best road was to take regarding Benitez. keep him or sack him.

He hangs his dirty washing out in the street. Argues publicly with the owners ( who i hate with a passion ) Doesn't have very good man management skills with his players and has now started having a pop at other teams. eg the blueshite after the recent derby. "One team wanted to win and the other didn't want to lose" Wasn't that us against Wigan last night ?

I ask myself a question. is Rafa going to bring us title number 19 ? and i have to say no. It's not that we have caught up with the Mancs and Chelsea this season, it's more they have slipped down to our level. You will see their class tell towards the end of the season and Liverpool will be in a fight for 3rd place with Villa.

Liverpool need to beat Chelsea,if they lose, then it's going to be difficult to win the Premiership,if we win however, then that's 9 points from a possible 12 against Chelsea and Man utd, don't dismiss Liverpool yet,we have only lost 1 game al season,16 points from are last 10 games.
