Yeh i am over the moon actually because we live in the present not on our former glorys, also we run our club properly at a profit not sell it to yanks who get you in more debt. Im sure you remember 1989/1990, that was the last time you won the league 22 seasons ago but every year all i hear is "its our year this time". Sadly most liverpool fans think kenny dalglish will save the club and lead them to glory just like in 1990 but newcastle fans thought the same with kevin keegan but its all just fantasy...ive only met 2 realistic liverpool fans in my life so hopefully i will meet some more on here. Good luck in the new season but 4th is the best you can hope for just like spurs you cannot compete with man utd, chelsea and man city, its a shame but financial power now seems to be what brings you success in football

Yeh I commented last night in the man utd thread cos im football mad, seriously its my religion! Im just hoping when modric goes, he goes to man utd and not chelsea as i hate it when players leave to go do the road for more money (sol campbell springs to mind). If modric leaves it should be to go to a club that will guarantee trophies and not have a new manager every season or 2 and the only club in england recently who fits that description is man utd!

you live in the present??? you finished one place above us... the season before you finished 4th... so what has gone wrong???
when was the last time man city qualified for the cl?? do you remember the last time YOU won the league? 1961 or 1962 was it??
next season will be our 4th season out of europe in over 30 years(not counting our ban)
can anyother club match this?? very doubtful...and ffs, please dont give me the living in the past garbage...
newcastle dont come into the equation....keegan??? omg!!!!
when city have won as much as even arsenal, come back and comment....

Nothing has gone wrong pal we are a top 6 club no more than that we do not claim to be something we are not....thats my point you are living in the past as thats the only argument you have 22 years no league titles for a club that apparently is the biggest in the world (kenny dalglish words recently). BTW spurs fans dont bring up 1961 because its irrelevant, in football only the last few seasons matter as managers find out to their peril. All im trying to say is im a happy spurs fan living in the present and if we finish 6th next year i will be pleased with that as we are not spending ???? so top 6 is an achievement for a club with 35,000 seater stadium and no russian, yank or sheik billionaire. Where as most liverpool fans seem to think they will be title contenders which is a joke in itself. Kevin keegan at newcastle is absolutely relevant because its the same thing, even spurs did it a while back with glenn hoddle "bring back the messiah" but it usually doesnt work. Even though you did improve last season under kenny he is not a miracle worker and I still believe roy hodgson would have turned it around given time as he is a good manager even though most liverpool fans have judged him on 6 turbulent months at anfield not his whole career like at inter milan where he is loved. I hope you are right about man city I really do as i dont want football to be all about money but chelsea bought the league title and so did blackburn before them so why couldnt man city do it ? In football money can get you almost anything...
