that andy carroll transfer has fcuked as i thought it would. not just becuase he has been crap but it has meant other clubs can take us to the cleaners.

All Kennys signing are good enough, Henderson, Adam, Enrique, Bellamy, Its enough to get us to CL, once we get there, we can bring in the better players, Carroll needs to try harder and Downing doesnt offer much. We do need an out and out goalscorer though. I'd take Bent.

suarez, bellamy, enrique have all been brilliant buys.

adam and henderson have done ok, with henderson i think he will turn out to be really good and due to his age we wll always be able to re-coup much of his fee even if he doesnt.

adam has worked hard to become a more rounded, disciplined player and at 26 i think he can still get better.

downing, well we knew what he was all about before we bought him, but his crossing has been so poor its stupid now. why cant he lift the ball off the floor above the first defender?!

carroll has turned into a completely different player since joining us, his strength and balance have gone......sure sign of no confidence. and after a year, im really not sure if he will regain it.

i trust kenny, and beleive in the project long term, but his english only policy (if that is indeed the case) will come back to haunt us.

there is a reason england havent won anything on the international stage for 45 years.....british players simply arent that gifted. technique, style, skill are the 3 things british coaches dont focus on!

we must buy some flair players now

his next 3 attacking signings will make or break him, im positive on that.

Henderson might turn out to be good but he don't need to be playing with the big boys. He need to be loaned out to a club that won't put pressure on him to preform. Henderson doesn't have the skill at his age like a Toni Kroos or Thomas Muller have for Bayern Munich. Bellamy has always been a good player. It's his mouth that get's him transferred all the time. this is what i was saying about british players mate, they will never have the skill or technique of a muller or kroos

it is actually coached out of them at a very young age, ive seen it with my own eyes.

ive been on F.A courses, and these guys are all stiffs in umbro jackets. They hardly even let you enjoy yourself with a ball on a pitch, its crazy!

ive even seen it at schoolboy level, and in training, where if a player is skillfull and trickey the coach will tell someone to whack him a few times...until he stops and does "the right thing"

its sad that english football doesnt realise this.

since gazza england has never produced a truly gifted and highly skilled player in over 20 years.

so in short henderson will never be the player your hoping for mate, but i still think he will get better at doing "the english league" things

Coates, the interview you posted mentioned he made a blunder in the stoke game which led to the goal iirc..
