    scott parker england captain

    so why was parker selected?

the captain is somone who leads by example. a guaranteed selection. but i dont think he is good enough to be in the team all the time

surely when you have the likes of hart, rooney and gerrard available. one of these should have been selected. they are leaders and pretty much in the team all day long

Hart is not a leader either maybe in the future but not yet, besides it could just effect his form.

Rooney would be banned the first 2 games of the Euros.

Gerrard was the prime candidate even Rio n Rooney said he's the best one for the job.

Stuart Pearce isn't the right man for the England job for the Euros either.

Gerrard never brings his captaincy credentials to the table for england.. look at when he was captain during the WC.. we was shite. Wednesdays display had nothing to do with the manager or who was captain.
My tuppence worth, a captain should lead by example, and when was the last time Scott Parker was in court?
      Fave replies from various threads

I'm not a great England fan but i think a Captain should be a general on the field of play, Parker is not. The lesser quallity is to lead by example, Parker doesnnot.

I don't know who i would pick fpr England Captain but if it was my choice i wouldn't have any Liverpool players playing for England, it's a waste of time and energy

          THE TRUTH
          The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

I like Bulldog would prefere to see Gerrard retire from internationals and concentrate on LFC, not like Eng are winning anything anytime soon. Scholes had the right idea putting Utd first, meant less games in a season, less injuries and more winners medals.
