After all he is the best player on the planet bar none and plays for the best club side on the planet when all fit. As for the comparison between the two leagues, really not that much difference in either setup. Both consist of five or six decent teams and the rest mediocre. How many la liga sides are still going strong in Europe and looking like progressing compared to the EPL? Last nights match at old Trafford was a good yardstick as to the standard of La Liga. I'm not knocking the EPL by the way, far from it. I just think you need to take the tinted glasses off here my friend.

So i take it with your reasoning Zidane, Pele, Maradonna, Ronaldo, Baggio, Batistuta, Van Basten etc weren't as great because they never played in the PL

Maradonna single handedly ended England's WC hopes he also ripped the whole team apart single handed.

Maradonna's a legend fantastic player, for me he's better then Pele because Brazil had a team full of outstanding players, Maradonna was the only great player Argentina had really and he got them the WC.

I'm not saying that. I'm using the Prem as an example. everyone except Pele atleast played in Italy and when they played it was the best league in the world at the time. Plus all of them did it at a International level too. I'm sure Messi will to. Look he plays in Spain and also plays for Barca. I'm sure he would be the same player in any league but wouldn't score as many goals and he would with Barca and playing in Spain. I would rather watch Zadane play any day over Messi.

Ok, you dont like Maradona for the hand of god goal. I can understand that but do you remember the other goal he scored in that game? One of the greatest goals ever scored imo. I have never seen a player in my lifetime who comes close to Maradona, the man was simply amazing! Almost single handedly carried Napoli to the Serie A title and carried Argentina to victory in major tournements at times, Mexico 86 being a prime example of that. Also his record for Barca and Boca juniors simply outstanding. He was and still is the best player ever seen in my lifetime in my opinion.

cheat is a term like professional with a win at all costs attitude is a term

coke head,well he is just a flawed genius who has the same destructive traits of millions,but he had a gift that he shared with the masses and for that and that alone i worshipped that brilliance on the field of battle.

Messi is playing in the best league in the world.

I watch football from both league's regularly and i wholeheartedly agree mate. The EPL though is still as enjoyable at times and may be more lucrative money wise but its vastly over inflated and hugely overated by some imo.
