    chelski sack big phil scolari

chelsea have today sacked their brazilian manager Phil Scolari.

had to say it was only a matter of time before he was as they have been really poor under him.

Is anyone going to match the special one as they havent been the same since he left??

I think they were too hasty sacking him. I know they weren't as solid defensively as under Mourinho and Grant but they played more attacking football under big Phil.
I think he woud have got it right and would have challenged and had a good chance of winning the title next season.

It's a sad sign of the times when a man gets sacked without being given a full season in charge. Fourth place seven points behind the leaders, Still in the fa cup and last 16 of the champions league. Not exactly struggling was he ? I wonder who will take over.

    THE TRUTH
    The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

Wonder if the moneyman is starting to get a bit bored of his new toy.

The money that they have shelled out for a club of this size (they are not a big club imho) leaves them in a potentially precarious position if he were to walk away.

Hiddink would be a great appointment but it will interesting to see how thinks develop.

I reckon the queue at Chelsea's door will be miles long for the next sacrificial lamb. ?15,000,000 for 7 months 'graft', not bad eh! Football Management in the Premier League is the only job in the world where it pays to be a flop. [Oh sorry, forgot about Banking!]

The 'International Break' is always a good time for managers to boost their bank balances, wots the odds on Southgate next!

I agree with krazylegs that Chelsea as a club and as a team haven't been the same since Mourinho left....he didn't stay long enough in the Premiership in my opinion he was a breath of fresh air totally against the grain there should be more managers like him about that tell it like it is end of story.

As for Scolari getting the sack I think it's amazing how this guy with all his reputation and he gets the sack after only a few months, now compare that to the job that Jose Mourinho and more to the point Avram Grant did - what does this tell you ? It tells me that reputation doesn't make you an automatic success, or that any reputably good manager can take over just any team and make a success out of it......do you know what I think Jose Mourinho is one of the best managers in the game, absolutely the best young manager in football.....he won the champions league with Porto, we all know what he did with Chelsea, and at the moment Inter look like they are going to run away with Serie A title....everywhere he goes he seems to be a success. I hope he manages England someday .
