I'll second that Andy4 too much spare time and money Mate !
These guys haven't the common to realise that because of thier wealth and high profile they're a target for anyone who wants thier name in the papers !
The basic qualification for footballers is the IQ of a goldfish !Comment

tbh and i think i speak for most blokes if you are honest with yousrselve's we would all abuse being a pro footballer if women were shotting themselves at you
they do quite well really on the whole they are easy targets for punch up's and tarts and if i was a millionaire footballer i would find it hard to get motivated for training in the morning if i had some young slut sucking on me 3 inchesComment

To the question of why do footballers put themselves in this situation....it's simple, they probably didn't and if they did then again it's simple....most of us would have done the exact same thing if we were in their shoes with all that money and status.....I think it's funny how it's footballers that are taking all the rape shite stories every second week...funny how it's never tennis players or rugby players isn't it ?
I feel for the girls that truly get raped I really do, but the girls that take advantage of these people for abit of attention or money are a total disgrace in my opinion. That's really the truth of the matter.
I also think it's funny how most of the public especially in football, are very quick to make hypocrites of themselves by condemning a player for his actions either on the pitch or off it when they know full well had it been themselves in that position they would have done the exact same thing or worse. And people wonder why the powers that be in football never listen to the fans......Last edited by Raven; 27 February, 2009, 12:48.Comment

why should they be any different to any other bloke. its all very well saying that they should be setting an example to the young fans that idolise them but the same could be said about fathers who get pi55ed up or get into fights.
i doubt any bloke who would say that they wouldn't love the attention that footballers or popstars get from girls.
if the footballer has got a wife and family of their own, their only responsibility is to protect that.
footballers have got no more responsability to set an example than that of the kids parentsLast edited by RedSpider; 27 February, 2009, 15:44.Comment

Footballers have no responsibility other than to try to play to the best of their ability and earn as much money as they can out of what is already a short career as it is.....any sportsman has the very same responsibility to his profession and career as that is what motivates them in life - to be the best they can be, and to give themselves and their family a comfortable living now and in the future.....anything beyond that falls into the human responsibility that we all have from every walk of life or color or creed to set the proper example to each other and our childeren...because how is anybody supposed to act, especially childeren...if we don't follow right or wrong and share our due responsibilities either ?
How are our childeren supposed to have and know true respect when most of us are constantly blaming somebody or something else other than ourselves for our own shortcomings or mistakes ? Respect starts at one place before it spreads and that place is yourself first and foremost.....it's not showing weakness to openly admit you are wrong or that you are not perfect, it's showing complete respect for both yourself and the other person.
I went abit off topic, but the same holds true for footballers aswell as anybody else. Including us that frequent this forum.Comment
