Chalkywhite is right the Masters played at Augusta National is probably the best major cause the Golf course is just so beautiful to look at and is fair and tough at the same time. I personally think the British open is the best cause as a purest it is where golf began and usually every course in the rotation is a fair and tough.

History and tradition make the British open the best.. Always a links course, anywhere within sight or sound to the sea, i was at royal birkdale a few years ago when Harrington won, was a great experience.Comment

if you have a betfair account woodland is over 200/1 whilst hills and corals are 125/1 a few are also paying 6 places as thursday gets nearer i'm sure one of them will go 7 places, i usually have a bet on a hole in one but its odds on this year.I usually have a bet on the masters but usually wait till the second or third round, this year im having a small e/w (?5) on Garry woodland 110/1, was watching the Tavistock cup and he played really well bombing the ball straight.Would like to see Rory win though but the greens in augusta are very tricky. Other than the British open it's one of the best majors.Comment

The British open yes it is the biggie of the majors but it's so dependant on the weather- sometimes it turns up a complete turkey as a winner. it's ok to say well that's how Linx golf is played but how many players in the field actually play linx golf in bad weather week to week. When Paul lawrie won at Carnoustie it was only because he was used to playing the course in horrendous wind and rain.Comment

Yes I agree but isn't that what makes it so good to watch players playing in strong winds and rain most of the Americans (except Woods) can't handle the conditions I remember when lawrie won at Carnoustie the rough was rough about 3 foot long,it's good to see players using different skills like driving the ball low under the wind and playing knock down shots with longer irons.Comment

Im a big golfer and im away over Easter on our annual Easter trip.
Fell nice again this year so we can watch the Masters later at night.
Tiger Woods is like Manchester United you either love him or hate him im the latter
because of his success.
Personnally i hope he doesnt win but if he plays 80% well he will win.He didnt play well last year and came 4th but he has lost his aura. All depends on his putting.
I think an American will win and im going for Dustin Johnson, hes been close in majors before and is due one.
Would love Lee Westwood to win hes from my neck of the woods near Nottingham.
Also think Luke and Rory will go close and wouldnt be surpised Charl Schwartzel and Jason Day doing well.
1st Dustin Johnson
2nd Rory Mcilroy
3rd Tiger Woods
4th Lee Westwood
5th Luke Donald.

Hunter Mahan for me, Rory & Tiger to be in the hunt along with Luke.'If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor. If an elephant has its foot on the tail of a mouse and you say that you are neutral, the mouse will not appreciate your neutrality.'

Paddypower are offering refund on all losing bets if Tiger wins.[/QUOTE]
paddy power refunding bets on the outright market not any of the others, ladbrokes will pay out on the 2nd place as the winner if tiger woods wins, corals will refund if your golfer leads after round 3 and doesn't win and if you fancy a close finish blue square will refund outright bets anybody that finishes within 2 shots of the winner, so some really good offers about.Comment

I like Michelson coz he's a lefty. I like the tournament as well it's a cracking course.
I think I'll have a wee round beforehand on Tiger 2013

Mickelson is a great player i love the way he attacks the golf course but sometimes its his downfall. Butch harmon reckons he would have won more majors if he would trade in his driver for a 3 wood and sacrifice 20-30 yards on his tee shot. Big phil wont do it because it takes the fun out of his game.Comment

A golf related story for those of you that care.
It involves some bloke skimming his ball across some water and scoring a goal in one
