    Stephen Hendry retires

7 time world snooker champion Stephen Hendry retired from snooker last night after losing his quarter final 13-2 to Stephen Maguire. Thanks for the memories Stephen I always thought of him as the greatest player ever.

Fantastic player in his prime, unfortunately time catches up with us all and the old eyes aint what they once were Still has a lot to offer snooker though.

I always wondered if he could have made it as a proffessional golfer as he plays off a one handicap. He let golf distract him at the start of his career before his manager Ian doyle gave him a kick up the backside.

Same thing happened to Steve Davis and Jimmy White. These guys practised 12 hours a day when they were single but I suppose marriage and kids are more of a priority.
