Rangers: Businessmen prepare ?11m bid for control at Ibrox

Two Glasgow businessmen are preparing a bid to take control of Rangers.
Housebuilders and property developers Allan Stewart and Stephen McKenna plan to bid about ?11m for the club.
They hope to run Rangers for two to three years before floating the company on the Stock Exchange and handing the club over to the fans.

if i was Charles Green,i would end it now,all the assets are mine.flog training ground to developer, flog players, ibrox i would strip brick by brick, girder by girder, even bag flakes of paint and sell the lot on fleabay.then lift the pitch foot by foot and flog as well.but leave around 40 square yards, then sell the land to a developer, but with a clause that the part of pitch i left is to be used as a swing park in the middle of the houses they build.be a multi millionaire in weeks.

just to leave the mark, call the swing-park ibrox park.

Got to admit it's taking the piss now. At the end of the day regardless what happens the only thing it's going to affect a very small part of the population. There wasn't as much stuff in the papers when Woolworths went tits up and that was an even bigger business.

It's only a football club, get over it.

Why didn't they offer ?11 million for the club before green bought it for a song. Not a very credible story!

Forget the Bury story the chairman said categorically it won't and isn't going to happen.

If it only affects a very small part of the population then why is there as much stuff in the papers about it ?

Seems to me that it is quite the opposite and what you say is contradictory.

Whatever happens it's been a privelige to have lived in an era that Rangers were involved in and i am more than happy to have lived knowing Rangers were the dominant team in Scotland.

You misread that, it says the SFA are going to bury rangers.

If that was the reason Rangers were liquidated then i would agree to some extent but as it stands right now Rangers were Liquidated because of whyte and duff and phelps who had that intention all along or so it looks.
