Painful does it hurt you that much ?? plus i don't like peter sutcliffe but i've never met him.Funny that you just don't like someone you probably haven't even met, we all at some time have said i just don't like that person without even knowing them i wonder why that is ?
Still would be refreshing for the sport to have a diff name on the trophy and @ least if Murray did win we wouldn't have to endure the painful reminders of how long it has been since a Brit has won wimbers.

Sorry m8 that wasn't meant to come across as a dig it was meant to be "we all have said i don't like that person" and i was asking why is that, nothing to do with you personally not liking Murray and having a dig because of it, if it came across that way it wasn't meant to

Well when anyone British is playing in a tournament i just think we should all wish him luck if you are British, as the World Cup has the 4 nations competing then it's just a bit of banter between the diff nations and you can choose who you want to support and against who and i bet it's a bit tongue in cheek.
National identity
Murray identifies himself as Scottish and British. Prior to Wimbledon 2006, Murray caused some public debate when he was quoted as saying he would "support anyone but England" at the 2006 World Cup. He received large amounts of hate mail on his website as a result. It was also reported that Murray had worn a Paraguay shirt on the day of England's World Cup match with the South American team.
Murray explained that his comments were said in jest during a light-hearted interview with sports columnist Maurice Russo, who asked him if he would be supporting Scotland in the World Cup, in the knowledge that Scotland had failed to qualify for the tournament. Sports journalist Des Kelly wrote that another tabloid had later "lifted a couple of [the comments] into a 'story' that took on a life of its own and from there the truth was lost" and that he despaired over the "nonsensical criticism".
Murray protested that he is "not anti-English and never was" and he expressed disappointment over England's subsequent elimination by Portugal. In an interview with Nicky Campbell on BBC Radio 5 Live, Tim Henman confirmed that the remarks had been made in jest and were only in response to Murray being teased by Kelly and Henman.
In an interview with Gabby Logan for the BBC's Inside Sport programme, Murray said that he was both Scottish and British and was comfortable and happy with his British identity. He said he saw no conflict between the two and was equally proud of them. He has also pointed out that he is quarter English with some of his family originating from Newcastle, and that his girlfriend, Kim Sears, is English.

I'm beginning to weary at the outbursts of Andrew Murray, the young Scottish tennis player whose conceit is not regrettably matched by his talent.
His latest idea to prove his Scottishness (presumably mean and morose) is by announcing he will wear a Paraguayan shirt when England play against them in the World Cup.
I quite understand Scots not liking the English, even dim ones like Mr Murray.
It must be painful to receive handouts to the tune of ?30bn this year - money generated by the clever English.
It must be painful for more and more Scots to leave behind the land of call centres and golf courses and head to London to find work - once again supplied by the clever English.
The latest figures from the 2001 Census showed there were 800,000 Scots living in England, and since the South East has continued to explode while Scotland - as The Economist points out this week - continues to decline, those numbers will have risen sharply from that.
It must be painful to recognise that these days all Scotland can export is national politicians (Blair, Brown, Reid) whose major skill set is telling lies.
So next time, Mr Murray, you are down south (possibly Wimbledon, although your first-round exit from the French Open won't have helped your ambition) perhaps you can try and work out how many Scots are in the stadium and, more importantly, who paid for their seats.
And another thing, why do we carry the Scottish football results? Discuss.

I don't buy into that Xenophobia rubbish and it causes nothing but hatred and should be stamped out.
The sun which andy used is one of the worst rags to spout this rubbish and tbh you wouldn't expect anything else from it.
Also he was the editor who was in charge of the paper when the sun published that unforgivable story regarding Hillsborough and the Liverpool supporters he was well known for making up invented stories and anything he says should be binned almost immediately
