Am sure this this was discussed before During the paul le gone era, bring back smith, The fans wanted him back and now its going pear shape, Now they want him out. Was not so long ago he gave up a decent job (scotland).Again its a result driven business, and over the course he just not doing it, even going back to Manchester, played same way then and are now, boring and defensive.

Aside all that I think smith has got a few more season in him yet, and then McCoist can take over and play that boring defensive football they been playing for past two years.

I could never understand why he went back. He was never going to emulate the success we had when he was there the first time so he's always been in a no win situation.

I can't say I ever wanted him back and that's as much for his sake as ours. Always think it's a mistake to return to a place you were successful.

As for Paul Le Guen, I'd have kept him and got rid of Ferguson. To be honest I'd never ever have taken Ferguson back from Blackburn. He seems to be living quite comfortably in the same goldfish bowl he said he couldn't handle before he went.

I'll always support Rangers no matter how we perform, not sure if that's good or bad really but you can't change the way you are ...

I have to agree a few god points you made there.

You never go back, it dont mater who you are but going back is always a bad step, Your past in many case's are memories of good times and fans expect the same, and its same what ever team you support, smith, millar, and even mallony just a few recent ones.

As for ferguson is best days behind him now, yes he still a rangers man through and through, and if he is a true gers man he has to quit, i mind seeing the old barry ferguson, used to be great to watch but as since he returned, it been nothing but non entertaining.

Its just a case of what goes around comes around, i have memories of that was it 9 in a row, well am sure if the way ibrox is run the now it will, bettered from the wee ginger headed guy from east end.

Yes ok am celtic fan, but lets me tell you celtic are no better at present, in fact both are no better than each other ,,, well maybe celtic are..

To be honest i am dreading tommoz. he has chance to pull away, and show there only one team deserving of title, but i dont think he can do it...

I hope to get proved wrong.

That's a damn fine post mate.

Smith was superb on his 1st Rangers stint. I agree with you, how do you improve on perfection!?
