If Barca play up to their ability there is no doubt in my mind they would hammer any of the english teams no matter how well they would play....but then again on a bad day they could be on the receiving end of a severe beating from any team. Thats what makes the knockout part of the CL exciting!

Yeah and i agree that the top 4 in England are the strongest top 4 of any league in the world, by far. Doesn't mean they have the single strongest team(be it Utd or Liverpool or whomever) or that because of the strength of the top 4 in England, that one of them are bound to be CL winners at the end of the season

I wouldn't disagree with you too much about that....Liverpool are, and have been for the last 4 or 5 seasons a very, very strong and competitive Cup team.

Ha! I already put money on Barca at the start of the season. I don't know if they'll win it but i'd still back them now because i think they have the best players of all the teams in Europe. If they were already out of the competition then i'd back Liverpool to win it.

I think Barca are the best in the world. If they played to their best and an EPL top 4 team played to their best it would be a close call but I think Barca would win, they would not hammer them. Thats in a one off match but in a 2 legged match I would back the EPL team.

A handfull of games back i'd have put my shirt on Man U beating any ~~~~er , now it's anyone's guess .
If Liverpool maintain thier current form , they'll beat any one , 100 % confident , what a difference a few weeks make in football !

to be honest, judging by your name, i'ld imagine you're a fan of barcelona or at least have a hard on for a particular player, so you would put your money on them.
There's nothing wrong with that. As a united fan, i'ld back them to win it again. I back my team whatever the weather. I laugh in the face of defeat.

And also, you go on about Eto'o, Henry and Messi like they're the holy trinity when, in fact, I'ld be surprised next season if at least Desmond Eto'o and Lenny Henry haven't fcked off to pastures new.
In my opinion, barcelona aren't the team they were a few years ago. They're still good enough to beat any team but not good enough to cause concern to any team thats drawn against them .

Barca are brilliant from midfield to front but from midfield to back...midtable Premiership I'm afraid!

I watch the Spanish league every week and love it..much more entertaining than the Premier League. But teams always attack and stand off each other most of the time. You don't get that time and space in the Premiership...Liverpool would overwhelm most teams on the planet in their current form, even going 1 down seems to have little or no effect.

I'd love to see Messi, Iniesta and Xavi in the Premiership...preferably at Anfield
