Hamilton goes to Mercedes. Lewis Hamilton is to leave McLaren after signing a three-y

Lewis Hamilton is to leave McLaren after signing a three-year deal to race for Mercedes from next season.
The move, predicted by BBC Sport's Eddie Jordan earlier this month, was announced on Friday, causing huge repercussions throughout Formula 1.
It has forced Michael Schumacher out of Mercedes but it is not clear whether the German legend will go back into retirement or look for another team.

Mmmm, ave got kinda mixed feelings about this one and a wonder if Lewis has made the right decision and has Mclaren picked the right replacement!
A remember watching Lewis in GP2 and apart from the helmet colour scheme, he reminded me of Senna in many ways, now am not so sure.
One race that caught my eye was when he was punted off on lap one, he casually returned to the track, drove the door handles off the car and finished 2nd.

When he joined F1 a couldn't believe the raw speed he showed and how he dealt with Alonso who is a helluva good driver.
Then he won the championship and it looked like this young lad may dominate F1..
Then he sacked his Dad as manager and started appearing in the papers for all the wrong reasons and last year in some interviews, well lets face it, he acted like a spoiled brat who needed a good slap..

This year he appears calm and collected at interviews, when questioned he gives neutral answers, answers that a management team would give.
To be fair he has demonstrated some solid professional drives on the track and kept his team mate behind him.
Now he is leaving a team with a proven track record of success and have bent over backwards to give him the best car they can for a team that has struggled the last few years.
A can't help thinking that his management team have convinced him that Mercedes is a global brand and will bring in megabucks ,,,something Senna would never do.
Remember Senna joined Williams for free to get the best car to win the championship, a doubt Lewis's management team would approve.

As for Perez as a replacement for Hamiltion,,, a think Di Resta would have been a better choice....

it's all about the money and the money they offered Lewis was a disgrace for a top driver. By the time they realised he was talking to other teams it was too late and Hamilton felt insulted and wanted to leave.

I dont think Hamilton made the right choice, at all.

Sure, they are all great drivers(not everyone gets the priviledge of driving in F1) but driving for Mercedes will certainly not make him more competitive as he is now.

As for Perez, I do have a feeling McLaren made a wise choice. For me, he has shown the most out of all these 'new guys' and maybe not his first year, but his second year with them, he'll really shine I think.

And I do think Michael should just retire... As much of respect as I have for him and all of those years I've seen him race, he just doesnt have it in him anymore. These last two years he's managed to get one pole in Monaco, and for that GP he was penalized five places...
I think at this point of his career he would be a far better asset to train and help drivers in their development than being an actual driver.
