did anybody watch the final of the darts last night van gerwen came back from 4-1 down to beat mervyn king 6-4 but this was largely down to the morons in the crowd booing and jeering every dart thrown by king especially on the doubles and at crucial times form the 5th set onwards,can you imagine how you would feel being tormented by these morons like that,i'm not a fan of king but i am of darts and i find it shameful the way these drunken talentless morons behave they are the same with any player playing one of the irish players but nothing like as bad as they were with king last night,i dont have sky but watched it on sport 1 germany with scholten co-commentating and i could pick out the odd thing he was saying about the crowd, king gets a hard time everywhere he plays its a wonder he hasn't had a breakdown.

It's idiots like them that the game still get's called a pub game, but we all know it's moved on heck of a lot in the past decade or so. I remember Manley getting a lot of abuse but that was like a pantomime and he was seen as the villain but sometimes the crowd just go OTT.

i think with manley it ended up being a bit of fun but with king its spite and this was also the final his first chance of winning a televised pdc title and how many more chances will he get? its bad enough in the premier league never mind a final.
