Is goal line technology needed more than ever?

This kind of stuff happens all the time in football.
I still find it funny when it happened to Spurs against MU, but then i would wouldn't i?

However, I wouldn't like it if it was the other way round or if it happened in favour of Chelsea or Liverpool in one of their games and it made the difference in who won the league.
I would be in favour of goal line technology for a trial period at least. And i don't mean a week or a month. I mean a full season at least. Maybe even three seasons

Well we see other sports have third referee's and umpires and hawk eye technology ffs. So it why can't we see it at least on trail like red spider said

Goal line technology with a 3rd ref watching on a tv? yeah good idea. worked really well in the last rugby world cup final didnt it?

You miss my point, its BECAUSE officials are fallable that makes footy so interesting.

If you know so much about the game why dont you take your exams and start refereeing...???

Football is the worlds game and FIFA want the same for an amature game in the mountains of Peru as the English Premier League..

Bollox to goal line technology or chips in balls... can this technology be used at grassroots level.. NO

well said lads slating the ref is part of football and all adds to its appeal it all evens itself out over a season

think about it where would it stop once ytou have goal lines then it would be penalties,offsides free kicks it would get to a point where no ref was needed and andy gray would be controling it from the studio and who the fcuk wants that

football would be crap if we let people in studios take the power away from the refs. ok they make mistakes but it all adds to the banter after the game

If you add the goal line tech you have to have it for offside, fouls ect... we will all still love watching football whe the game is stopped every 5 mins to go to the third ref. It works in rubgy but football is much faster end to end game
