No more Europa league

I see Uefa is looking to get rid of the Europa ( Loser Cup ) league and why not since it get you nothing like a CL spot if you win it. They want to add the teams to the draw of the CL. What do you think about it?

To add the teams to the champions league will mean a hell of a lot of games. It will essentially just be a european super league.

There will probably be a break away league when this happens somewhere down the line for the big teams.

!'m in favour of this but whatever changes are made to the concept?... One of the first should be that the champions of each domestic European league should gain automatic entry to the group stages of the competition.

I am against the merger. Too many would-through games, from England, Spain, then all will be 8 teams? nonsense

Having some of the lower teams in the league will give Liverpool ( if they qualify again ) & Man City a better chance of winning a couple of games!!!!

suprises me as its all for tv revenues anyway... the champions league should be the champions only and not second and third teams aswell imo,regards mdt

UEFA are always meddling with the competitions, they are more interested in creating a money making cow than in European Football !!
The European Champions Cup used to be for the Champions of each country to compete in, now it's for whoever UEFA think will generate more income.
The Europa Cup used to be The Cup Winners Cup, with the winners of each country's equivalent of the FA Cup competing against each other (so it didn't used to be a Losers Cup). Again changed to generate more income.
The way things are going UEFA will scrap both competitions and announce a "New European Competition" which will be called "The Largest Attendance and Viewing Figures in Europe Cup"
