    Real: We still want Cristiano

CRISTIANO RONALDO is still a Real Madrid target - despite their world-record splash for Kaka.

Real president Florentino Perez is on the verge of spending ?62m on Brazilian superstar Kaka.

But he insists the ?75m it could take to capture Ronaldo from Manchester United remains good value for money.

Perez denied there is an agreement in place with United to sign the World Player of the Year.

But he said: "What I am sure of is that which seems expensive is often the cheapest.

"Without knowing who we can get, there will be a massive effort for the great players of the world, because that is the Real Madrid model.

"We will lay the foundations to create a magnificent team."

Perez is also determined to grab Bayern Munich's French winger Franck Ribery from the clutches of Chelsea.

But he is willing to offload Arjen Robben.

Thanks for the memories Ron but no one player is bigger than Manchester United
If he doesn't want to play for Utd then grab the 75 mill and buy his ticket to spain

Bought for 12mill and sold for 75mill makes good business sense, with that kind of cash we can get 3 world class players

I hope he goes tp Madrid, the Premier League will be better off without him. Id sooner see Tevez playing for Man Utd, giving his all, playing hard but fair, rather than watching Ronaldo dive, roll, hold his ankle, put both arms into the air, kick out, the kids a tool.

Ooops, my mistake. Guess Ronny is going to Real... Why I don't have money to buy Clapton's guitar
