After doing a little research on the coverage of the new provider ESPN Sports subscription based service for Premiership football in wake of Setanta Sports departure I have discovered how very little Football they will be bringing us !
For Example on the First weekend ESPN will only be broadcasting the following Matches or Match I should say!
Saturday 15 Aug...
Everton V Arsenal 17:15
Thats is ! untill Saturday 23 Aug...
Westham V Spurs 13:30
Then Sunday 24 Aug...
Liverpool V villa 20:00
Then Saturday 29 Aug
Chelsea V Burnley 12:45
That it then untill Saturday 12 September due to world cup quallifing
For a big Company like ESPN who have bought up some of the right to broadcast the Premiership this season seem to be bringing very little in the way of football compared to Setanta sports output last year, If ESPN are only going to pump North Americian sports to fill in the other thousands of hours would anybody be at all interested in subscribing for such little Football or would it have been better to make a PPV channel instead for each match ?
