Yeah thats right all they are is exhibition matches, and even when big clubs organise playing lower level clubs such as Shamrock rovers in the Republic pre season or Liverpool or Man United travelling out to the far East its normaly discused in advance that the big clubs are not shown up by a lower League Club who ever they are ! they are exhibition matches setup in a manner like WWE wrestling is staged ... This is what the Fan are paying for to see the world biggest Clubs in action in there Countrys around the world

The only exception to these exhibition matches is preseason tournaments like the Amsterdam Cup and others which are desgined as pre-season friendly tournaments which are still very competitive...

All of this is to Give the lads a run out without picking up any knocks so most of it tightly organised befor a ball is even kicked !

not really no.. its a friendly arranged outside of any formulated league.. its also why refs go a bit easier with cards.. so they dont have to report anybody to their respective FA's..

To be honest Real Madrid are doing teams like Shamrock a favour by turning up so if Real ask for it to be an easy game, no stupid challenges as its just a run out then thats fair..

I couldnt care if Liverpool win, loose or draw in pre-season.. its all about building fitness and stamina for the challenges ahead

yes its all just a build up to the season and a good and a run out its also a chance for fringe players to stake a claim

i have watched the 3 united games in asia its nice to win but at the end of the day its meaningless and nearly everyone gets subbed the only people it means anything too really are the asian footballers and supporters who like the shamrock rovers lot may never see that kind of opposition up close again

come first day of the league thats when it starts and anything before means nothing

btw i can still remember years ago getting beat 6-0 of hartlepool united pre season
