As much as i'd have pissed myself laughing if he did go down, i think common sense has prevailed here.
As ops said the "victim" will get a few quid from the rags.
Gerrard will learn a valuable lesson,
And the legal teams will walk away with fat cheques.
Win win all round it seems,
or am i missing something??

no mate your not.. i suppose if Wayne Rooney lamped one on me i'd drag him through the courts..
Gerrard is no Joey Barton and i think he would have been a victim of his fame if he'd been sent down..
little scraps like that happed each week, if it wasnt Steven Gerrard i doubt it would have even got to court as the guy wouldnt have had a clue who it was..

exactly.. he's a man utd fan.. didnt like Gerrard (obvioulsy) and was being twatty with him all night, then said something to which gerrard's mate lamped him and then he went to have a go back and gerrard smacked him in defence..
normal saturday night, both parties thrown out, nothing else happens..

hav 2 agree 2 disagree cos iv experienced it first hand the amount of fights iv had in bars not all my own fault 95% it went to court & ive been done in most of the cases maybe next time ill remorgage the & hire gerard,s lawyer...
