The big difference in my opinion of the two rants is that Rafa's just came across as arrogant while Sir Alex's rant was in response to the fact that City haven't done anything note-worthy on the field and there major cues have been to set up a tevez banner facing Salford and splash the money around.

This rant was a response to Citeh's PR tactics while also clarrifying who has the richer history and dismissing the disrespectful analergy that United isn't a Manchester club in the local peoples eyes.

Rafa's was just an arrogant unprovoked off the cuff attack.

I must say though. I'm fully looking forward to Rafa getting out his pre-planned speech this year haha, can we make it a yearly event please?

Also it's easy for Liverpool fans to gloat about the 5 european cups won, but I still believe that in the 6 years english clubs were banned after your fans killed 39 and injured more than 600 another English club would have had the chance to atleast get close to your record. Allbeit not neciserily us. Atleast we can say we'll have surpassed your domestic record this season!

Also it's easy for Liverpool fans to gloat about the 5 european cups won, but I still believe that in the 6 years english clubs were banned after your fans killed 39 and injured more than 600 another English club would have had the chance to atleast get close to your record..

shows what you know.. Everton & Arsenal were the only ones who could have qualified for the European Cup during the 5 years out.. It was only us who had 6.. had they both won every trophy, which thyey wouldnt have.. Only Everton had a team and tactics that could have tested Europe, they could have possibly been on 1 each.. Hardly close to 4 is it and we would have probably been on 6 by 91..

as always the banter is taken too far.

Same old story, time and time again , and its the same old people starting to use swear words, and getting annoyed because their team last were number 1 in the seventies and cant handle being 2nd best to their arch rivals.
