I was surprised at the start they had last season and the struggled in the first half. The win over Liverpool will boost their confidence no end.

lets not forget your manager couldnt keep a team in the English Premier League, i doubt he'll suddenly find whats needed to outwit Wenger, he couldnt do it last year..

especially just before we beat Blackburn (3rd in the league), Man U, Liverpool, Juve, AC Milan...

naw it will be worse if celtic tryand plqy open attacking football ,tonys sides were all the same good football no prizes,still dont fancy fortune and after watching them against aberdeen i dont think that celtic are any better than last year.aberdeen could have been 2 up in the first 15 minuits .so there is better quality in that arsenal team than celtic face week in week out, 4 nil.

I personally see the Gunners winning tonight by at least 2 Goals, Celtic are not a bad side at the moment under Scott McDonald at least there sounding confident, But there is still a big class differance between football played south of Hadrians wall and the Scottish League !

The scottish League has Celtic and Rangers who are the only two teams who have won the SPL since 1998 and you have to go back to 1984 when Aberdeen won last when it was called the Scottish League Premier Division....

I am sorry but UEFA should make Scottish clubs start there qualification from the first round of the competition and not Automatic Qualification for the winner and a play off for second placed team.

Its a compleat monopoly on Football when a two team league (I say this because no other team has won for years) can virtually make Automatic Qualification every year into champions league and be considered 10th in the top 15 in the Country Ranking by UEFA...

They can't continue to rank a League as unbalanced as the SPL which has become a two tier league whith Rangers and Celtic against the rest, when you have the league of Ireland across the water one of the only european countrys not given an Automatic Qualification place into any of the two competitions

First off only Champions should be in Champions league lets see how the other 3 English teams liked that eh?

Point 2 I quoted. When did a team out of the top 4 in England last win the league either?

Its not a Champions league its a European Mini league now. As is the Europa League.

The tournament proper begins with a group stage of 32 teams, divided into 8 groups, but the competitions have been playing out with the smaller nation outside of the 15 top countrys for the past two months, this is where teams from the SPL should be starting as well in my opinion .....

SPL is nothing more than a monopoly with Rangers and Celtic picking up the spoils every year, with the added financial perce of Champion leage or Europa Cup if they were placed in the EPL they would never get near a spot in either tournament...

My numbers are a little wrong actually UEFA have droped the SPL down to 13 place in the top 15 in the Country Ranking by UEFA so next year both Rangers and Celtic could face a long road to where one of the is placed tonight
