WILL CITYS SPENDING SPREE BRING THEM TOP 4?

There's one thing you can guarantee about City, it always ends in tears. Something somewhere will go wrong. Take Shinawatra, he took them over, rich billionaire, ex-Prime Minister and as soon as he did, the city curse struck, he got his assets frozen and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Something will happen before the win anything and when it does, they'll be in deep doo doo.

Without Shinawatra City would'nt be in the position there in now
able to splash the cash and try and build a successful team.
Which manager and club would turn down unlimited funds, its
only what Taggert and the Russian mafia have been doing for
years. Utd were lucky a certain Mr Knighton could not raise
enough funds - unfortunately, but at least he got to play
"keepy uppy" on the pitch in front of the adoring faithfull.

Newcastle have stepped upto the mantle and taken City's place
in the "what could happed next" syndrome.

City may have spent millions on players, but on the whole they're players who couldn't make into the top 4 clubs. It has raised them to the Everton / Villa / Spurs level, but it will take better players to allow them to go beyond

Gotta agree with you there m8. Thats my thoughts exactly. I also don't think they will not attract top top players untill the get a world class renowned manager.

                    THE TRUTH
                    The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

which is exactly why all the top players have been turning them down. IMO Hughes will be a top manager, but he doesn't yet have the draw that Mourinho or Fergie would.
