have to agree thats the only way ye have getting into europe deducting points from the teams above ye.btw if all the managers stood up like fergi you would get a better standerd of refs then the appaling ones thats there just look back at chels V manu pool V BERM its the refs that should be fined and suspended

Would not be a ref for a pension, that includes a civil servant golden one, Fergies and others rants put of anyone becoming ref,s. They are human so can make mistakes, constant hassle from managers on the sidelines and players on the pitch do not help. It amazes me how in Rugby Union there is non of this backchat, maybe in the players yellow card there should be a ten minute sin-binning as well.Comment

it's unfair to the team if based on points deduction..
A higher fine is to be imposed i proposedComment

This doesn't surprise me....in fact I'm surprised the FA took any action at all! Notice how it's been weeks after the fact ? I'll bet they only took action because people would have kicked off had he gotten away with this scot free like he usually does. The guy is an arrogant tosser who is as a matter of fact hypocritical and 2 faced and who thinks he is above everyone else, the sad thing is he may be correct....you can bet your bottom dollar that had it been Wenger, Rafa, Mourinho or anyone else - especially anyone else - you better believe they'd have nearer to a 10 game ban and nearer to 100k fine at least.
Seems to be that for some silly reason, the authorities in charge be it referees on match day or the FA generally speaking, are scared to death of Alex Ferguson.Last edited by Raven; 16 November, 2009, 20:06.Comment

That's your typical line of excuse that everyone's not yet heard the end of, Man U are undoubtedly a good team - but they don't need the crutches that they have such as referee and FA intimidation. That's why Man United have been so successful as compared to the rest of the league, because it's the little things that consistently go their way like penalties for that never were, lack of stonewall penalties against, red cards, 6 minutes stoppage time out of nowhere - yknow the things that especially in the hands of a capable team can be the difference between 3 points and zero on a regular basis and it shows - and that's why Man U have won god knows how many cups and leagues in England over the years and yet not so many European accolades, it's because in England they get the rub of the green all the time whereas in Europe they do not....
But this thing isn't about Manchester United's success and other team's failures, that's got nothing to do with it - and you know as well as I do that if any other manager had slagged ref's off, say if Neil Warnock had done it when he was in the Prem as he regularly did at Championship level, that year he edited himself something chronic when being interviewed and to be fair he had to because otherwise he would have had a much worse punishment than Fergie got and for that matter so would have anyone else but Ferguson. And you Man U fans know it, hence the tired "jealousy" quip.Last edited by Raven; 17 November, 2009, 00:51.Comment
