Liverpool are a 2 man team... take gerrard and torres out the team and you've got a mid table team at best
The end of mighty liverpool?

thing is m8 they dont go on forever do they ?
and are you trying to tell me scholes is as good as he was or giggs is as good as he was they have been in decline for a few years now both of em, granted scholes can still pass a ball as good as anyone but he aint what he was
giggs has a bit more composure with his age and a touch of class but he isnt what he was michael owen is awful tbh yeh he scored a hat trick and a goal against city but overall his performances are crap i am sick of hearing pundits make excuses for him i have never seen a striker do more air shots from scoring positions and his first touch is awful he had his 1 and only good game against wolfsberg and we are in december so hardly at the height of his powers is he
as for stevie gerrard gerrard kisses the badge on his chest puts in a transfer request steve gerrard gerrad
when was his last good game? he may pull something out of the bag now and again but he isnt the player he was and nor will he be again im not saying he is finished i am saying its all down hill from here and he is not the player he was
which was a stand out player in a ordinary teamComment

is the above a joke.. Gerrard has been awful this season due to an adductor tear injury.. I also don't think he's happy with Benitez and his selections.. But who is..?
As for the original question.. "The end of mighty Liverpool..?"
The 'mighty' Liverpool ended in 1991.. So the end of Liverpool..? No
If we were 18th I may entertain the question for half a second..
This season the 'top 4' are loosing games.. A run of 3 wins will put Liverpool back into 3rd..
If Liverpool win 3 on the trot i'll show my arse in Marks & Sparks windowLast edited by opsmonkey; 13 December, 2009, 19:00.

It seems that many a club forget to maintain the right 'balance'once they have lost players to transfer. Instead of a steady flow in to cancel the flow out, they persistently do the mistake of rebuilding teams.Comment

I still think Liverpool will get to 4th ..even though it will be by the skin of their teeth. In terms of Gerrard leaving, well thats another matter.I thinkthat if by the end of the season Liverpool dont get 4th then , it will be the end of Rafa....With Messrs Hiddink and Mouriniho ready to come back to the premiership I think one of them will take control of Man City whilst the other Liverpool.Gerrard will still be here and so will Torress.Who ever comes in to Liverpool will have to manage with pretty much zero funds. And the selling stock of players barr a 4 or five is poor...Comment

'torres will never leave, he doesnt want to.'
Oh boy! He is allowed to change his mind.
I agree i don't think Gerrard will leave, but Torres? Sorry, it's possible for a player to leave even if he doesn't want to (did Alonso want to leave?). It happens all the time. I think it is more of a case that you can't afford for him to leave. He is a player, like any other player, and a foreign one at that that. Of course he can leave. If Liverpool go 2 seasons without Champions League football, do you think he will still be around. I think he may well have written another book by then. Alonso! I think he always looked best when Gerrard looked best. I can't say I 've seen too much of him at Real Madrid, but what I have seen is just good, not outstanding. Sorry he may have looked outstanding at liverpool, but he is now surrounded by world class players and to me he doesn't shine. It's of course early days, but time will tell.
And yes Gerrards heart is at liverpool, exactly as Le Tissier's was at Southampton. My original point.
Anyway enough of my Liverpool bashing, it wasn't my intention. I do think they will finish 4th
As a Chelsea supporter don't say I didn't tell you.Comment
