To busy reading lfc thread and boy it's fascinating Gerrards sex scandal ..did he or did'nt he put some 15 year old girl up the duff. Should rafa stay or go now he's gone he's a nice guy wat a load of b--ls. LFC thread should be made into a flim it would win a oscar at the raseberrys awards....Dont think any of the england team had a good world cup,,Forlan watched him in the MM cup thought he was brill in the final and watching him in the WC he's playing good football,,,no holidays till christmas,,,,,and yes im a manu FAN.

Strong rumour doing the rounds is we are in for Wesley Sneijder of Inter Milan. It is hard to see it happening.
Also we heard Fergies boring lie again about 'no value in the market' one really has to question whether or not funds are available for any player let alone a marquee signing.
Personally i think the current squad with the ageing stars we have and the injury prone players it won't be enough to win the league. We really do need an attacking midfielder.
Mezut Ozil looksi impressive but again we couldn't afford.

Not much going on at the moment with utd, no movements in the transfer market, red knights not heard anything since they were told they would need to find at least 1 billion, rooney sh1te world cup but not on his own there, ferdinand to be fit for start of the season earlier than expected, boring really.
ps felt sorry for forlan last night he's had a great world cup to me he is the only player to master the jabulani ball, im sure he will be at the top of a lot of shopping lists.

what is everyones expectations for this season?
i just dont feel confident with the current squad we have, and as for the blue neighbours they going to be a serious threat for all teams for sure this season with about three different teams they could put out.getting the blues at work giving it the big one already.Comment

well i agree m8 we need some big investment at the minute which doesnt look like its going to come cos of the mounting debts that have riddled the club
so all it looks like is we are taking a punt on a little known mexican and a few unproven kids to haul us back to the top of the tree
time will tell what happens as its been done before with a few rookies but im just not too optimistic this time at least last time if it all went t*ts up we were on a sound financial footing and could afford to sign a player or two this time it doesnt seem likely even though the club itself makes an absolute fortune
ferguson has been proved right before when he has not plunged into the market pre season but surely this time we must giggs,scholes and neville surely cant last more than this season,ferdinands looking very injury prone and van der sar is about 53,carricks lost his way and berbatovs never found the way our way of football doesnt suit him
will anderson fulfill his potential? will hargreaves ever make it back ? if he does would he be the same player he was?
plus points from last season was nani finally looking like a footballer,valencia,fletcher and rooney all had very good seasons but can rooney be as good again? time will tell but i think we have gone backwards over the last two year chelsea didnt improve as a team to win the league the quality in the premier league has worsened
we will do ok as long as the back four stay reasonably intact and rooney stays fit but we should be doing better than ok but to be serious contenders this season we will need a few miracles
like anderson,nani,hernandez and macheda all having the seasons of there lives and fulfillig there potential with owen hargreaves injury free and back to his best
thing is i just cant see it

it is a mess... and that a fact with these bloody yanks.but we have all been over this till we blue in the face.and cant see it getting better anytime soon.if anything a lot worse till it gets better. fergie got his hands tied and he knows he cant come out and say no money etc.
coming up with excuses the market it over inflated and it is.but we have done it ourselves many a time in the past with fancy prices.but it will remain sky high as city will make sure of that(with the likes of that lescott deal!!!).we have far to many sick notes now in the squad now.i just hope we can hit the ground running and no silly defeats to the likes of burnley (maybe blackpool this year)Comment

yer we did ourselves no favours last season but even so after all the crap and all the injuries to our defence we still had the chance to win the league and the CL too but once rooney was injured it fell apart and the young lads sending off didnt help against bayern either
in a sense last season i thought we over achieved with the squad we had mainly through rooney coming of age and liverpool and chelsea like us declining in ability in their squads
rooneys injury at the end of the season was key too the failure in the run in which shows that the squad needs to be stronger cos i dont know what would happen if he was missing the full season and tbh will he ever have as good a season again
if he doesnt make a full season im not too sure owen,berbatov,macheda,diouf and hernandez could fill his boots and if not we may find that we struggle for 4th place
which financially could ruin us or force the glazers to sell which wouldnt be a bad thingComment
