centre halfs, centre mids and strikers are the ones worth the ?????????????????????'s
having watched LB for 5 years I can assure you he doesn't play LeftBack cos he aint good enough to play elsewhere, the lad plays more like a wingback and is up an down all day long , has the engine of a recehourse and consistently performs week in week out , he has created more than most creative midfielders in europe and doesn't have an ego on him, most efc fans will settle for fellaini going rather than Bainsey and that should tell its own story, good luck this season

What i meant by that is you dont start out playing football to be a left back, its where you end up

Whatever you think about him he couldnt play up front or centre half, we have similar in evra who also gets up and down and can go past people effectively

I rate baines tbh, just not at the money quoted

Why is he silent really dont know but my guess is his agent has something to do wit it or is it greed wit him and the club waiting for a better offer.
When he wanted to go to city why not let him go fergi has no problems showing players the door when they step out of line.

Why is there two people to blame there is weather you agree or not,,heres the part i agree and disagree wit you last season he was piss poor playing 26pl games and scoreing 12 goals piss poor by our standards also he was played out of position subbed,,now as for living on past reputation have a look,, if rooney wants out let him go and let moyes get on wit his job.

May have seen something different, i seen fergie say something along the lines of rooneys not right,he's not happy about not playing and has asked to leave. He refused told him hes not playing and told him to think about it

I then remember a few days later when asked he said it was up to Moyes and if Rooney wanted to leave he would have to submit an official transfer request

An official transfer request means Rooney will lose some pennies, which is maybe why he has not made one as yet, although talk is it may come soon

We will have to agree to disagree, you may be impressed with Rooneys goals stats, i am not

When you play up front for Man Utd you get more chances to score goals, How did Ronaldo score that many? he was not a striker

The goals are not the issue imo, his performances are poor and he gives the ball away a lot, too many simple passes go astray

If he played well he wouldnt get subbed, it is simple

Hernandez has a much better goals per minute ratio btw if you want to use goals, wellbecks is very poor in comparison but he is always played out of position but does a job for the team

Rooney used to do that when goals were dry, thing is that side is going now too.

Rooney matured early than most, comes back overweight every season and out of condition, likes a smoke and he is prone to the odd injury, he isnt a player approaching his peak like a lot of people his age. In the modern game longevity is made from keeping good weight and maintaining good fitness levels

Wayne Rooney is declining for both club and country and its a good time to sell

Found where E Woodward has turned up at

          Sir Alex Ferguson in 1988

"This isn't just a job to me." "It's a mission. I am deadly serious about it. Some people would reckon too serious. We will get there, believe me. And when it happens, life will change for Liverpool and everyone else - dramatically."

Strange for Moyes to be very public in his pursuit of fabregas

Dont think its going to happen but i am unsure as to why Moyes seems confident, do Barca secretly want to sell?? are we being told privately to up the offer??

Something not quite right, it may be a ploy on fabregas's part. Maybe his agent is playing the situation for a new improved contract or some kind of gain

If Barca were simply saying NO not at any price why are we persisting, as we are wasting time when we could be looking elsewhere. Must be something in it somewhere for someone

Ive read Fellaini has a expiry date for his clause to end very soon, I wonder if Moyes is sat waiting for that to end and get him cheaper. I hope it is not just Fellaini we get this summer.

Cesc news, I'm hoping its to do with there new manager comimg in which has slowed everything down while he gets his feet under the table.

August expiry for fellaini i read somewhere

Dont see how that would make him cheaper tho

All that means is everton dont have to sell when it runs out, a release clause means everton have no choice in the matter

Oh, I thought it meant, you could go in for him at a lower price when it runs out, thats my theory out the window

Only way that would work cheaper is if everton actually want shot or need the money

The idea of the release clause is that if a player decides that things are not going well or wants out the fee can be triggered by the player and the clause

If no release clause or an over the top release clause then its then up to the club whether a player goes or stays and at what price

some foreign players have massive over the top buyouts in their contract, this is inserted by clubs too scare away potential bidders

Fellainis is a reasonable request, that if everton dont make champions league he can leave for a champions league club for a fee where Everton wont hold him to ransom or scupper a move by being too greedy

Thiagos was similar if i dont play X amount i can go for a reasonable fee, If Barca had of dictated the buyout clause it would have been something daft like 80 million

Demba Ba had a cheap one, basically if he didnt like it at newcastle he could go where he chose if anyone paid 7M

Just thinking didnt we use Phil Jones release clause

Seem to remember Blackburn not being very happy because they wanted 20m and we gave 16M

Somebody magically told us he was available for 16m and blackburn couldnt do a thing

Barcelonas new manager has made a statement " Cesc Fabregas is not for sale and any Man Utd Bids will rejected.."

Also their director has more or less said the same..

looks like we are left behind again in the transfer market, and looking at the last 4 pre season friendly games we look sh1t.

I just knew it, we will panic buy and get left with fellaini in midfield, again we will suffer without a world class playmaker in midfield..

Been a problem area for us midfield

Only really Carrick been a decent buy since Roy Keane in the 90's

20 years and only Carrick a decent signing

Dont get me wrong there has been a few inbetween Kleberson, Veron and Anderson but only Carrick could be described as a hit

Owen hargeaves would have been a hit but he couldnt walk

Btw i would be happy with Fellaini but i would of liked Fabregas too, a sitter and a creator would probably have worked well

But whatever happens i dont think its the end of the world

I think Kagawa will be better this season and i think he has the nous to play as a creative roll either in the middle or up top, a signing like Fellaini would give him a bit of freedom, he is a clever link up player with good quick feet and brain. I think he would flourish with regular games

We also have IMO a very good young lad coming through i mentioned him before Januzaj who i expect to make an impact this season, we already have Zaha in the squad

TBH i would love a few signings Bale and Fabregas would be great but it certainly wont be the end of the world if we do get Fellaini, as he would make our squad stronger than last season

And i think we finished 1st

Be nice cant see it tho

Probably right about Bale though being back end of window, levy likes to make people wait and holds his nerve till last minute to get top whack

cant see it being over 80 million though, thats been spoke about maybe 60 ish

Tbh tho its silly money but if he plays shit hot for 8 seasons its a bargain, but you are only one dodgy tackle away from a total waste
