    Coyle Off To Bolton, why?

Burnley have confirmed that their manager Owen Coyle is in talks with Bolton with a view to becoming their manager. Why on earth would he want to leave a club on the up, riding the crest of a wave to join the stagnant Bolton who's only way is surely down?

Seems a bizarre career choice to me

Cant be getting that much more to make the move worthwhile? Shurley shome mishtake??
Got to fancy the playing staff at the Reebok are a class above his current charges. Burnley bound to fade away and Bolton to hang in and avoid drop. Still, will be a big job on his hands come next season as that Bolton team are mid to bottom table material all the way. Why not hang on for the Celtic job again when Mowbray takes a dive in next couple of months

Club close to his heart, only team outside Scotland he's played for. Despite his fairly short spell here, he was a fan favorite and enjoyed his time with Wanderer's most.

Bolton are an established Premier League side, bigger turnover, and more budget.

Burnley are a sinking ship. 2 points above Bolton with 2 more games played. Can't win away from home. No budget.

Can be a stepping stone too, their managers have gone on to arsenal and newcastle off the top of my head. Though with not much success :-)

Success with clubs like Burnley is measured in how long you keep them in the premiership.

Bolton will be able to attract better players then he could at Burnley.. pay them more.. have better infrastructure as been in PL for a while.. good to move on the up

Coyle needs to get a brain scan, why on earth would you switch from burnley to bolton. There is no gain (Unless it was money) he had burnley playing he wanted, great fans and hard to beat at home.

Doesn't make sense and never will in my opinion.

                          PS. No offence intended

Just because you played at the club doesn't mean that you need to manage it.
