No surprises really and I'm as pleased about it as much as anyone else is. I would actually like to see them go completely out of business but I can't help hoping, for the sake of football romance at least, for them to finish above one of the teams above them. They've now got 10 points and are 14 behind Hull, the nearest team to them in the league. With only 9 games left to play, staving off relegation may be a step too far but how amazing would it be to see?

yes mate looks like you are right.. i knew clubs from outside the top division could play in europe but didn't realise Pompy had failed to submit their accountsCrisis club Portsmouth will not be able to compete in Europe next season even if they win the FA Cup.
The club would be declined entry to the Europa League because they have not applied for a Uefa club licence.
Portsmouth went into administration last month and were not in a position to file their accounts - a criterion for entry into European competition.Comment
