Pity the Ref didnt then eh.

No Booking for Diving for McGreedy no penalty of a handall. No goal chalked off for foul on defender (i always thought using your arm to make sure your opponent couldnt get off the ground was a foul).

    Still

Come on over to our place. Hey You we're having a party. 53 and counting.

    Best comedy moment.
Big Greek tragedy mishits a pass queue Gers fans singing "Thats why we're Champions" Real Laugh out Loud moment there

Of course it meant something. If Celtic played Rangers at tiddiwinks it would mean something. You know that, I know that, everybody know's that.

It was the first 'dead rubber' (so to speak) where you have already won the league in 15 yrs - where as I think you've played 3 in the last 8 yrs when we have already won it? & when you won two of the those three games they were both celebrated by Rangers & their fans & seen as landmark games, due to you hadn't won Celtic for a while.

Smith & Rangers knew that if they would not have allowed Celtic to win, it would have been a big psychological hit on Celtic for next season, especially the players who before last night had not been on the winning side against Rangers. As well as the possibility of Celtic not winning Rangers in any of the fours games (Can't be sure, but that hasn't probably happened in a decade?)

As for having a party & out singing - I was at Ibrox for the 'dead rubber' 3-0 game (going on 8-0), now that was a party & that was out singing the home support! Though this happens everytime we go to Ibrox..

On a lighter note.. When was the last time both keepers had to go off?? Can't recall it happening?

I actually wasnt that bothered with the game yesterday the war had been won already so it was a meaningless battle that was won last night. I thought both teams were good is spells and aweful in others. Still if it let Lennon keep the job then all the better As the only game of any real meaning he reverted to Mowbrays form and lost it to Ross County Rangers won when it mattered:

Ha ha. I don't believe you pal.

I thought it was one of Ranger's best performance's at Celtic in yrs. I think Lennon has added a bit a steel to Celtic that hasn't been there all season under Mowbray. I hear what your saying about the semi final, but that's 7 wins on the bounce - Mowbray didni manage 3!! He's also managed to cut back the lead from 13 clear - with a game in hand, to 8.

I also think he's told defenders to get rid, rather than trying to play themselves out of trouble & getting themselves into trouble.. Which to be fair is what this Rangers team do - & have found it sucessful.

I know he's got little experience, but I would be happier him being given the chance than taking a punt on someone that doesn't really know Scottish football.

To be fair he cut it from 13 to 11 then it was over. True he has now cut it to 8 but thats after the horse has bolted. I hope he stays. I'd like to see how he copes when the pressure is on which lets be fair bar the semi final hasnt really as Gers were out of sight. To me the only game they had to win was the semifinal and he failed at the first hurdle regardless of the league form they bottled it when there was real pressure. Nothing has changed in that regard. Gonna cost a fortune to clear out the deadwood again and rebuilt for the 3rd tiome in 12 months

I think there was massive pressure on Celtic last night, it was a no lose situation for Rangers & a chance to really put down a marker for next season & put Lennon totally out of the picture for the job.

True, I can see more rebuilding at Celtic next season, though I'm sure money will come in from sales. Rangers will also have to rebuild of course, as several first team players are out of contract. Though there is the promise of millions (yet again!) through a 'possible' buy out.

A lot to happen at both clubs in the summer I think.

There was some pressure on Celtic and hopefully Rangers did enough to get Lennon the job

Rememeber That game was Celtics cup Final and they won it but there was no trophy. Kinda like all season then

Err we've won 6 trophies in past 3 years. So not really

Hows Robbies medal haul from his stint up here? His bank balance is certainly ok.
