Personally I think Shay Given should be No.1 because he is a expierienced and sound goalkeeper.

Hart is a brill keeper no matter what anyone says, to me he should be the number1

there shouldn't be a set number one, it should be on how well are playing.

I like Given for all the years he give newcastle but hart has been in sensational form for both man city and birmingham last season, so he deserves to be inbetween the sticks for me

I was just waiting for some one to ask me that one. Shay Given grew up about 5 miles down the road from me and went to the same school as me (altough he was much older) so I would like to see him picked ahead of Joe Harte.

Despite this as a United fan I want to see United beat City in both of the derbies and finish ahead of them in the league and the cups.

Shay Given by right should be No.1

But He is coming to the end of the Road in my Mind, If it was not for him being Irelands International Goalkeeper for so long he might have slipped down the League to lesser Teams by Now.

He has letf some Stinkers in at Inernational level over the past Two quallifing's for Major tournaments unlike his early Carear where he was as good as Oliver Kahn at the Seoul-South Korea World Cup.

Wenger looks set to throw in the towel on Manuel Almunia and Lukas Fabianski and Replace Almunia with Givin over the next few weeks, Giving Givin a New lease on life once again.....

But It can realisticaly be only for 2-3 seasons as he is 34 years of age, and Ireland need to look hard for a replacement.

I diagree he could have another 5 seasons (maximum) look at Van Der Sar almost 40 and in what games did he have "stinkers" for Ireland?
