Hello everyone .I've just broke 80 for the first time this year.amazing when you put the driver away,& still left lots of putts out their. This makes you realise how good the tours pro's actually are when they are playing courses that are much longer than my home course with really fast greens.

well done mate ...just keep it straight and you dont need to blast the ball into next week to score...practice the wee chips and putting and you will keep the scores below 80....I dont hit the ball far but kept a single figure handicap for the last 10 years...but that does'nt mean that I dont shoot in the 80s sometimes.....keep the concentration....Pro's practice for hours, but they have the time, but its good to watch them eh!....roll on the Ryder Cup

Had my lowest score to date the other day 82, left a load of shots behind especially with my chipping, lost confidence and struggling badly, not bad given I only started around 4 years ago, under 80 is my next big target

ps well done m8, keep at it

Lets hope that Sky sports haven't got the rights for the ryder cup cos my dm500c aint doing nothing, never mind i will just have toget my butt of the sofa & practice a lot more,.I,ve been off of single figures now for about ten years & seem to have hit a brick wall, loss of confidence & consistency.I'm considering lessons but all my club pro appears to want to do is make drastic changes & not work with what you've got, when your down the practice range & he's giving someone else a lesson he will come out with the same old repetoire that he gave to the previous lesson ten minutes earlier.got to research & find me a new pro that deals with what you got. when you get to single figures it does get that much harder , you can do it in bounce games but as soon as you get a card in your hand it just gets that much tougher .
