have you looked at getting a cheap satellite set up.. you can get the European channels which show the Premier League 3pm games as well as the other games shown on Sky..

Probably get up and running for about ?150 if you just want it for the footie..

I used to have a dbox but since they went down im just watching sport over the internet and the only site ive found that covers most bolton games is myp2p but its not the greatest of viewing, im looking at getting an a780 after xmas but what do you mean i could get set up for ?150??? Im quite interested in what you said....

forget cable mate.. in the UK we only get something like 150 games live..

the Europeans get all 380 games live..

have a serious look at European Satellite setup..

Cable is a waste of time bud for sports.. its ok for watching the UK television channels

Depending on where you live in the UK will depend on what dish size you require..

It's safe to say that most require a 1m Dish to get the most variety of channels.. You can get a 1m dish from anywhere between ?20 and ?70 depending on where you look... If you are on a tight budget check out the second hand dishes on ebay..

You then ideally need a motor to turn the dish to whichever satellite is showing the game you want.. Once again you can pick up a motor between ?30 and ?70..

Then you'll need a box.. If your happy with just SD then you can get a new Linux 518S for ?58, or a plug and play like the Globalstar 9500 for ?80 which comes with Free TV for 1 year..

If i get summat i want to be able to get the other channels aswell, my missus wants all the living tv, sky one, real food etc etc n my kids miss having nick jr and cartoon network so if im getting something it needs to have them available like the dbox had, thats why i was looking at the kryptview box. Ive got a sky dish up but like i said in my other post, im not very clued up on stuff like this, could i buy a box and run it through my dish and router?

If you want Free UK TV then I'm afraid my opinion is to ether subscribe to Virgin or Sky..

If your looking to get free cable TV through a Virgin Broadband line then your off your head mate.. they'll be able to tell easily

Your sky dish will be pointing at the Astra 28.2E satellite.. To watch all the 3pm games you would need to move it to 13E or replace it with a motorised one..

You could always do what i did before i moved which was subscribe to Virgin for all my UK TV and then have a European satellite set up for sports and movies

If im watching footy on myp2p i only use sopcast anyway, ive tried pplive and media viewer but both of them are like watching itv with all the adverts, what i meant was i struggle to find a good stream for any bolton matches unless theyre playing against man united,chelsea, arsenal etc.....

How do people using the a780 setup get it then, do they not go through a vm cable? I think the bottom part of your quote is gonna be what i choose to do, im looking at getting sky or virgin tv after xmas anyway so an additional dish for the sports sounds good to me....cheers

think you will find that with lesser teams and i mean no disrespect to any team. a few weeks ago when the manc derby was on and arsenal and chelsea both had games,our game v wigan was very iffy... but normally our games are spot on. but there are loads of sites out there. but in my local they have sky italia and only guarantee to have the top 4 clubs on,ie the dung,chelski, arsenal and spurs. the rest are only 85% . so the trotters may be out of luck on any system. hope this helps...

Cheers for that,im gonna have a good think and weigh up the funds and see if i can get sky and then a seperate dish for the sport, sounds good!

Oh and boomer we aint a lesser team this season i'll have you know haha!!! You were lucky against us, so were the scum and west brom, we should be in 3rd but i'll settle for 5th, saying that i'll settle for mid-table after the last couple of seasons weve had. Hopefully things are on the up for us now, gotta keep hold of elmander cahill and a few others, make a couple of signings in january and we'll be fine.....

realise you are having a good season.... so far.....but all i am saying is that even with a sat dish, i dont think you can be certain of watching every bolton game.. unlike the top 4... but maybe next season????? oh and we weren't lucky........ but thats life.....cheers....
