These players transcend allegiance-but from the not too distant past;
C.F.C
1.Zola
2.Wilkins (Ray)
3.Essien
Tottingham
1. Jennings
2.Ginola
3.Gascoigne
Have so many that I would consider greats at Old Trafford that you could put in any team in the world such as Cantona, Ronaldo, Robson etc.
But I will never forget watching Best, Law and Charlton.
As for opponents that list could go on and on as well but three that I always admired were Rodney Marsh, Jimmy Greaves and Billy Bremner, old school I know by wow they could play.
Hard one this, Neal, Smith, Hughes, Mcdermott, Souness. Barnes, Razor Kennedy,Clemence, Brucie,blah bla blah.....
it's not easy naming just three,, But 'Ill try. Without a doubt, the king is number one.
It's so difficult to name just two others with him ffrom so many greats,, but.................. Gerrard and Barnes for me
~~~~ me what about Fowler, Rush et al. Good thread Matty but a difficult one for the top clubs.
Players against ??? also a hard one, i've seen some of the greats in my time, Ball, Harvey, Kendall, Best, Charlton, Law, Greaves, Moore, Schmeichael, Scholes etc etc etc.. Without picking, how lucky am i to be in a position too have seen these players and give an opinion
THE TRUTH
The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12
Today's report is black and white.The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.
