Taken from the Birmingham Mail :
Birmingham will splash out an initial fee in excess of ?600,000 for Miller but this could eventually rise to ?1.1million.
If the deal goes through, Miller will be reunited with Birmingham manager Alex McLeish whom he played under when the latter was Scotland boss.

McLeish has made no secret of his desire to bring in a proven goalscorer during the January transfer window and Blues have also made a bid for out-of-favour Tottenham striker Robbie Keane in the last few days.

Miller, 31, had previously played south of the border for Wolves and Derby and has been a consistent scorer throughout his career.

He rejoined Rangers from the Rams for a second spell during the summer of 2008.

Miller, who has also had spells with Hibernian and Celtic, has won more than 50 international caps during the past decade.

McLeish is aware his side have to start being more clinical in front of goal, with midfielder Craig Gardner their leading scorer this season with just five goals.

If McLeish gets his man, Miller could make his debut in the derby clash with Aston Villa at St. Andrew's in nine days time.

Personally I would prefer he stayed @ Rangers but B-Ham do need someone to replace Jerome!!

best form of his career at the mo and think the premiership is fine timing for him at birmingham, gd package finacially at this stage in his career and 1 last crack at big time, as long as he stays fit and on form for the tartan army
