Man City Star Kolo Toure Suspended.

Manchester City confirm that the FA has informed Kolo Toure that an ?A-sample? provided by him has tested positive for a specified substance.



As result of this, he has been suspended from participating in all first team and non-first team matches pending the outcome of the legal process.
There will be no further comment from the football club at this stage.

Back in my day I didn't have time to take banned substances. I was too busy drinking snakebite & ploughing through more fanny than KD Lang.

To be fair to Kolo, it could well have been cough medicine. Really, really fcuking good cough medicine.

It has been reported on the news it was a specified substance,
so it's not going to be a sports enhancing drug, or a recreational drug, but more likely to be something like a cough medicine, this was picked up with a random drugs test, after the Manchester derby last week.
Paddy Kenny. the Sheffield United keeper got a nine month ban for taking an over the counter cough medicine, with a banned substance in it last year
so doesn't look good for Toure.

If he did that, it's simular to taking whizz - imagine if he took them before a game? He would be running around at a 100 mile an hour like an idiot!!! Perhaps that's why he took them, to give him an edge? Very dangerous though...

I can't see it being a mistake. I might buy a cough medicine excuse but not slimming pills. I think we all know that if you have money you can buy good legal speed for slimming but for any kind of athlete it's a fail on the drugs test.
