There is a lot of evidence to show that this was a hoax.

The first recorded flight by an Antonov 225 was not until 21st December 1988.

The Irish defense forces would not have snow tyres lying around for an Antonov 225

Changing the wheels would take an experienced crew with all the gear a full day.

Advert in paper says 24/12/2010 - not 1982

There was a much longer runway available at Shannon which is more secure and not that much further away.

Such an event at the time would have attracted media attention. There is no mention of any newspaper or radio reports from the time.

Depart sheet says depart time from Cork 23.00hrs. Could not land in Andorra at 12.30 Italian time as that would mean only a half hour to get there.

Antonov An-225 Minimum Take Off Distance - 3,000.00 metres 9,842.40 feet, length of cork airport runway - 2,133 metres 6,998 feet

W124 Mercedes E-Class in the video did not exist in 1982.
He who laughs last probably didn't get the joke.

I would like to find out a bit more about this event. Some of the facts should be fairly easy to find to establish any truth. ummmm !
