I see your point but this problem is one of the main reasons, this pope has gone. or so reports say. (his health was so bad he could no longer deal effectively with the problem and do his papal duties)
its also public knowledge he was one of the church hierarchy that "failed to report" instances of child abuse prior to his becoming pope. this "failing to report" had the effect of covering up these vile actions.

anyway I'm far from sure the Islamic world has a "pope" like figure. so the point is moot.

I agree the Catholic church are responsible for atrocities and widespread sexual abuse, my point is the crude remark implying the pope himself abused children........he has done the decent thing and resigned.....it's his way of acknowledging the victims of this tragedy.

I very rarely make random statements, I generally go on facts. If you can provide the facts to prove that he wrote them everything will be fine. Since we both know that you can't then it really makes no difference.
