Convert android based mobile to cdma ?

i have an samsung galaxy. i am able to load different android builds into it. can i install such a build where it will be working with cdma ? is there a way to convert gsm hanset to cdma altogather ?

Isn't CDMA a sim-less technology where the handsets for a network are supplied by the provider of that network ?

That being the case I cant see a 'foreign' phone being allowed to connect to the network, even if the phone were dual standard hardware to cope with the very different topologies.

Actually I have the Samsung Galaxy Nexus on Verizon (US Carrier) and there is indeed a SIM. I don't think they aork on GSM though as the actual radios are different. That is, I don't think this is anything that can be resolved by software emulation.
