help with my sony xperia x8

Hi guys just purchased a sony xperia x8 i like the phone but the software is shite
it regurly locks up and turns it self off now and again i do have a few apps on it but reckon the o/s is crap

could anyone suggest what to do

What software is it on. I have used all of them from from froyo 2.2.1 all the way up to gingerbread 2.3.5 without any problems and what exactly is happening is it force closing when using specific apps our switching itself off

hi mate havent a clue what software it has on it
it rebbots when i'm on the phone sometimes and no and again it locks up when i'm playing about with it

How do you upgrade the os?
