    Desire no WIFI

Hi folks , i manged to pick up a HTC desire on sunday , it was locked to orange, but i could not get the wirless to turn on.

ive unlocked it and instaled android 2.3 but the wirless still refuses to turn on .

iit turn on i get scanning then it says unable to scan and turns the WIFI off.

i am assuming that since i did the android update this kinda rules out a software problem ..I am right ?

any ideas what it might be ?

    UPDATE....

i gig a google search and came up with this .

I remove the memory card an then held down the vol down button whilst powering on the phone.

moved down vol to clear strorage press power again then the up vol to reset.

the phone rebooted and the WIFI worked again

Then it was the software. What you did was a hard reset, solves loads of problems.

Ask around some shops that offer xbox repairs. You need to find someone who can reflow the board.

Most of these problems are caused by dry joints on components.

Have you looked on youtube for answers?

You could try flashing with an older firmware. But I still think it's gonna need some heat.
