    bbc iplayer on glaxay ace

    hi guys,

    i have a samsung galaxy ace mobile phone and i cannot seam to get bbc iplayer to work. i have installed adobe flash player 11 but when i launch it and click on i video it doesnt play.

    anyone any ideas?

      how are you connected to web? if 3g try wifi, or vice versa
      try iplayer app if youre not already, and try web version

          hiya yea its on wifi and when i switch wifi off it tells me to connect to wifi. just tried the web version but its saying i need flash player installed and takes me to the market where it says adobe flash 11 isnt compatible with the device?

                  have tried that link when i click on download it tries to open a different webpage that doesnt load so have went to maipad and downloaded adobe flash player 10.3 under other software also 10.1 but the same thing happens on the app and on the website it says i still need adobe flash player and to goto the android market to get it.

                      hmmm ok try this.... To get flash player u need to have Cyanogen Mod7 which is basically a cooler version of android.
                      Note:Controls in clockworkmod recovery
                      Volume button up and down: to scroll up and down
                      Home button:Select action
                      To get CyanogenMod7 (The End rom)
                      1.) Download Clockwork mod recovery from this link:http://forum.xda-developers.com/atta...3&d=1318051346 and name it upd.zip
                      1.1.)Download CyanogenMod7 from here: [ROM] The End 2.5 (Updated 26/01/2012) (CM 7.2 RC0 KANG) - xda-developers
                      2.) Go into recovery mode by first switching off the phone and then holding the
                      home+power button.
                      3.)Next install the recovery by clicking update from sd card.
                      4.)After it installs, reboot your phone into recovery again and you will be in clockwork mod recovery.
                      5.)From here select choose zip from sd card.
                      6.)Scroll down to where you saved the zip file and select it.
                      7.)It will start installing and after it finishes you have cyanogen mod7.. Woohoo!!

                      This has Adobe flash player 11 inbuilt and this is the ROM that i use and it works perfectly for me.

                          i will give it a try mate is there a way of getting the phone back to the original software incase anything goes wrong?

                              ok have installed the cyanogenmod7 and the update restarted it and installed iplayer but its the same as before and doesnt work tried the website and its still saying i need to install flash player 11!!
