are there any rooting experts out there can advise me on how to downgrade my mk16i, i have the rom file I need, im just not sure which other tools i need and how to proceed.

The only advice I can give is to find a tutorial that is specific to your phone and read everything to make sure you understand it. I'm not familiar with the experia pro but have had a quick read through the downgrade process and it seems fairly straight forward but be aware that if you ~~~~ this up it will most likely brick the phone so take care and read everything. -
