Idiot response... bet a better phone.

Slightly more helpful response.... Is the phone locked to a network?
If it is, unlock it & read up on flashing firmware. Network phones have butchered software on them. Removing this for the generic firmware will improve the running of the phone & should free up some memory.

Did you also have photos stored on the phone?

My previous phone was a wildfire s and I was constantly getting the same messages so I installed a custom Rom called Wildchild which really helped.
